Our Bridgwater office is within easy reach of the M5 at junctions 23 and 24 as well as being on the crossroads of the A38 and A39. This means it provides convenient commuting from a number of towns, including Taunton, Weston-super-Mare, Minehead, Street and Glastonbury.

Our Bromsgrove office is within easy reach of the M5 at junction 5 and the M42 at junction 1. It offers an easy commute from not only Bromsgrove but Droitwich, Redditch and further afield, including Worcestershire, Birmingham and beyond.

Software Services Project Assurance Manager

We are a well-established SME focused ICT company in Somerset providing solutions to a diverse portfolio of small and medium sized businesses across many industry sectors. The company is entering a time of growth, change and development. and we are looking for an individual to do this with us, to support project management delivery within our software services division and provide line management to a small team.  The successful candidate will demonstrate previous project liaison or management experience within a web or software development organisation and will be looking for their next career opportunity which will be to work across our web and software teams and to ensure that projects are scheduled and implemented to time, cost and quality.

You will be committed to ensuring the team deliver to meet our customer’s needs and be solution orientated, a problem solver and able to prioritise and organise your workload to meet multiple deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator, both over the phone and face to face and demonstrate interpersonal skills which contribute to successful team leadership, motivation, focus and delivery. You will have worked within an SME,  possibly in a number of roles and you will have good understanding of the processes and procedures by which both we and our client  businesses operate.

Candidates must have a minimum of a Level 3 (A level or equivalent) qualification in a numerate or business related subject, but the ideal candidate will also provide evidence of additional tertiary learning and the desire to continue learning, both with formal qualifications and acquiring new skills and knowledge. It would be beneficial to have already gained an experience of project delivery (perhaps within a PRINCE2 or AGILE framework) but this training will be provided to the right candidate. You must have a full driving licence and access to a car for business as some travel to customer sites will be required in the future as part of the project management liaison duties.

2nd Line Technical Services Analyst

The Company

This 2nd line role will form part of a growing technology department where you will have the opportunity to progress in your career working with varied technologies, customers, and queries. No two days are the same!

We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Technical analyst ideally within a Helpdesk/ service desk environment.

We need someone that is self-motivated, driven and can communicate at all levels and collaborate with all departments.

Main duties of the role

  1. Identify, investigate, diagnose, and resolve ICT problems and queries raised by users so that guidance and advice can be offered, and solutions found while keeping users informed of progress.
  2. Operate in line with Service Level Agreements and company policies while using and adapting ITIL processes to provide and maintain high standards of customer service and quality.
  3. Liaise with external specialist agencies and experts to assist with finding resolutions to queries.
  4. Developing a business relationship with clients in a manner which is positive, proactive, and timely to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction is maintained.

You must be able to use your personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles and be able to communicate clearly and regularly with both the customer and the Technical manager on progress made on issues raised. 

Technical security consultant

Technical Services Consultant - Privacy & Security Specialist (or “Technical Security Specialist” for short!)

You will be joining a team of 15 professionals supporting the ICT of Small and Medium sized businesses UK wide (both cloud and on premise). Your specialism and passion will be data and cyber security and your role will be to engage with clients at all levels within their organisation to inform, educate and help guide their data privacy and cyber security policy decisions and business continuity planning.

You will assist in the technical implementation of those policies (both directly and by tasking and mentoring the rest of the axis first Technical Services team). Your responsibilities will include providing these same services internally, directly inputting to and implementing axis first’s own privacy and security policies.

You will have experience of Microsoft Windows and Azure Active Directory and other products such as anti-malware, vulnerability scanning, firewalls and backup which help implement data and cyber security policies.

You will need good communication skills and be confident interacting with clients from junior staff to Board members. You will have a technical background and an eye for detail and process. You will be able to balance technical best practice against usability and be capable of pragmatic and innovative approaches.

Previous experience with ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Essentials or NIST is an advantage.
